Sleeping Provisions - 3 bedrooms plus

  • Downstairs bedroom #1 - One queen sized bed, extra pillows, extra blankets in closet, attractive bed cover and down comforters
  • Downstairs bedroom #2 - bunk beds: one full sized, one twin sized
  • Upstairs bedroom - two queen sized beds, extra pillows, extra blankets in closet, attractive bed cover and down comforters, air conditioner
  • Extra sleeping arrangements - living room queen sized sleeper sofa, blow up queen sized mattress fits on upstairs loft

Kitchen - Full sized refrigerator, dishwasher, electric stove, dinnerware for 12, pots, pans, 12 cup coffee maker, large counter top frying pan, microwave


Dining - large table with two extender boards extends to seat eight with room to spare, counter seating with stools for three, glass table in sunroom (adjacent to dining table) seats four


Living Room - Lovely living room set with sofa, love seat and recliner, adorable bear/ moose hutches, silk plants and bear statues make this home lots of fun


Sunroom - Air hockey table, wood pellet stove, game hutch, matching wicker table for four and love seat


Front Deck - Two tables that can each seat 6, ash tray for outside smokers, container for ice-melt, shovel


Back Deck - Hot tub with four seats and a lounger (holds 6 people if you're friends), Chimnea for a nice wood fire next to the hot tub, Large charcoal grill, view of private wooded area with wildlife


Extras - 52" flatscreen tv with surround sound, basic cable channels, DVD (also DVD and TV in every room), DVD library of 30+ movies, Playstation 2 (bring your own games and memory cards), high-speed Internet (wireless and ethernet available), clothes washer/ dryer

Location - Minutes from Blakeslee intersection (115 & 940) and right across the street from the community's lakeside park and private beach with sand pit volleyball, swingset, grass field for playing games, picnic tables, lake-side benches, and paddleboats.

 

Pocono Vacation Home - What to Expect

Included - Matresses, blankets, pillows, hot tub chemicals, utilities (for short term rentals only)


What to bring - Sheets, pillowcases towels, charcoal, paper (toilet paper, napkins, paper towels), toiletries, laundry soap, dishwashing soap (for dishwasher), other household products.
NOTE: At Camelot Forest Chalet, we have many return renters who think of this home as their own.  They have cultivated a culture of "find some, leave some" with this home.  In other words, our tenants typically will have some toilet paper, soap, coffee filters, detergents, paper towels in the home when you arrive. Please enjoy that, and extend the same courtesy to the next tenant.  Bring your favorite movies, Playstation 2 games and memory card, and extra towels for hot tub lovers.

Purchase locally - Charcoal and lighter fluid, Wood pellets for the stove, Chinese food, Pizza, Wine and Spirits, Groceries, Dunkin Donuts and more - all within 5 minutes of the home.

Trash removal - The Camelot Forest Community has a trash compactor available for residents and renters to drop off their household garbage.  A map to this location is on the side of the chalet's refrigerator.  Do not leave trash in the home please.

Pocono Vacation Home's FAQ

Q. How many people does it sleep? 

A. Depends how well everyone gets along. (two in every queen and full sized bed adds up to 13 people)

 

Q. Do you hold a security deposit?

A. We authorized a valid credit card for $350 during your stay, then cancel the authorization afterwards, unless you violate the lease or cause damage.

 

Q. Are there nice places to eat nearby?

A. Yes. Within a 15 minute traveling radius there are several tavern type restaurants, several more upscale dining opportunities, more pizza shops than you can count, even a chinese take-out.

 

Q. How close is skiing?

A. There are three slopes within 30 minutes and Jack Frost ski resort is 5 minutes away.

 

Q. How many people can park at the house?

A. The driveway is about 80 feet and branches around two sides of house; at least six.

 

Q. Can we make a campfire in the woods?

A. Sure, and you can spend a month in prison.  Don't you dare!  We have a nice chimnea on the back deck where you can make a fire, and help yourself to our firewood.

 

Q. How private is the home?

A. The home is on a 3/4 private lot with Hemlocks for year-round seclusion.  There is a home to the left of the home, nearly ever occupied and hardly visible from inside the home.  It is very private and quiet.

 

Q. Is this part of a resort?

A. No, Camelot Forest Chalet is a privately owned home which the owners self-manage.

 

Q. We're traveling far.  How late can we check in? 

A. In advance of your rental, we will make arrangements for you to have access to the home.  We will not meet you there.  Do not arrive early without making prior arrangements and without specific permission or you will interfere with the cleaning service who will not allow you to have access.  You can arrive as late as you want, and it won't inconvenience anyone.

 

Q. Does the kitchen have utensils for cooking?

A. Yes, it is well equipped.

 

Q. What are the expectations of renters for returning home?

A. The home must be surrenderred in the same condition in which it was found upon arrival.  Tenant must put the beds, furniture, kitchen, tv remotes, hot tub, and all the home's ammenities back in the place and in the condition that they were found upon arrival.  All damages must be reported immediately.
